Split or solid core current transformers for AC current monitoring in smart grid and automation applications. AK uses average-responding (RMS calibrated) measurement, making it well suited to stable sinusoidal AC loads; output is available in current or voltage format. AKR extends to True RMS responding measurement for accurate monitoring of distorted waveforms including VFD outputs, SCR phase-angle and burst-fired loads, and switching power supplies, with current-only 4–20mA output. Both series are jumper-configurable across multiple ranges in a single device. AK voltage output models are self-powered; all 4–20mA models across both series are loop-powered. Selected AKR models (AKR 2000 C420L J) include a 76mm diameter aperture for larger conductors. Panel mounting for both series; DIN-rail available upon request.

Applications include automation SCADA current feedback, self-powered data loggers, panel meters, and renewable energy current monitoring, where the transducer must not draw power from the logger or meter supply.
